Cache crossed $2 billion in assets on our platform this week.
The milestone matters. The acceleration matters more.
It took us 21 months to reach our first billion and about seven months to reach our second. Our first $500 million took 16 months. The most recent $500 million took just about three.
To me, that change in pace says something important: concentrated stock is no longer an edge case.
I started Cache after living this problem myself. Much of my net worth was tied to Uber stock, and everyone around me seemed to be in the same boat. The tools that could help existed, but they were built for a different era: high minimums, slow processes, limited capacity, and access largely reserved for private-wealth clients.
When we launched the Cache Exchange Fund in 2024, our thesis was simple. More people were building life-changing wealth in a single stock, but the financial industry had not kept pace with their needs.
Just over two years later, that thesis is becoming mainstream.
Concentrated stock is not a one-product problem. Different tax lots, time horizons, and liquidity needs call for different tools.
What began as one exchange fund has grown into a broader concentrated-stock platform. Today, Cache offers exchange funds across several benchmarks, a tax-aware long/short strategy for investors who want to diversify gradually, and stock-based liquidity solutions for investors who need access to capital without immediately selling the underlying position.
Bringing these tools together allows investors and their advisors to treat concentrated stock as part of a broader financial plan, rather than forcing every situation into the same product.
Today, we work with thousands of investors and their advisors across these solutions. Two billion dollars is a large number. But underneath it are thousands of individual decisions, often involving wealth built through years of work, risk, and conviction. That is the part I do not want us to lose sight of.
Scale matters only when it is paired with stewardship. Cache itself does not custody client assets. Our exchange funds are held at BNY Mellon, independently administered, and audited annually. Long/Short assets are custodied at Schwab.
That structure reflects the responsibility behind the number. Being trusted with such a consequential part of someone’s financial life means building for durability, explaining the potential benefits, risks and trade-offs clearly, and holding ourselves to a higher standard as we grow.
To every client and advisor who trusted us along the way, thank you. We intend to keep earning that trust every day, even through this hypergrowth phase.
